Catching up...

I am way behind in my posting. I will be catching up over the next few days.

On the 20th we attended Sammy's company Christmas party. As always we had a wonderful time. It was at Disney's Grand Californian hotel, so Mickey and Minnie made an appearance to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Neither Sammy nor Shay really wanted anything to do with either of them. Shay agreed to see them as long as daddy was holding him.

~~~~~~~~
It is still very hard to accept that Josi is gone. Christmas made it harder in some ways but easier in others. Now that the holidays are just about over, we have to decide what to do with all of Josi's clothes and things. I am not looking forward to that at all. It seems like yesterday, I was so happily filling the drawers with her clothes in great anticipation.
Sammy and I have talked and both agree that we cannot let it end this way. Lord willing, we are hoping to pursue another adoption in the future. We are not sure from where yet; but we will be looking into adopting from the foster care system here in the US.
Carla and family,
I'm so glad to hear that you were able to find at least some joy in Christmas this year. I'm also so glad to hear that you are considering another adoption at some point. Adopting our son has been the greatest source of healing after we lost our daughter in Guatemala. I hope and pray that you can find that same healing. God bless and you're always in our prayers.
I saw your comment on Ben's blog, so I had to come back here to tell you that we met our sweet girls on the same day last year. In fact, I think we probably even met them in the same place. I know neither of us was expecting the journey we ended up on, but I also know we both have so many wonderful memories too. If you ever want to chat, my email is tanddaunt@yahoo.com
You are such a sweet, positive person, Carla. I see angry people complain endlessly about petty little things, and you somehow managed to find nice things about this very difficult Christmas.
I was encouraged to hear that you were thinking about adopting again. May God (and time) help you work through this difficult time.
Carla - you are such an inspiration. I was wondering how you were doing so I came back to your blog. I can only imagine how hard all of this was for you.
I am glad to hear your family still has open arms. More babies need a family like yours. Keep us all posted. We are thinking and praying for you daily.
Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
God bless you all.
Carla,
I am soo glad to see new pictures of your family! You all look beautiful all dressed up. I have still been praying for you all! Maybe you should not do anything with Josi's things yet.Just keep praying maybe the Lord's plan will reveal itself soon. But I am so happy that your hearts are still open. We are also thinking about fostering too. But I have alot more praying to do about that!!!
Carla,
A day does not go by that I don't think of you, your family, and Josi. I'm glad to see that your found a little bit of peace this holiday season. I pray that as you begin to put away Josi's things you find comfort that she is in a place where she is forever happy, laughing, and playing.
I agree with Mary Ann. Maybe you should hold onto those things for a bit longer until God's plan is more clear. Bless you for being able to charge through your own emotions and open your arms to another child who needs a loving family.
Hello, I just came across your blog today and look forward to reading past & future posts! I love the quote on your header =) It comes from Proverbs 24:12 (it's on my blog header as well, in 'The Message' translation).
